What Is Prayer?
A Real, Ongoing Conversation With Your Creator
Prayer is one of the most powerful gifts God has given us. It’s our direct, personal connection to Him.
Whether you’re rejoicing, seeking guidance, or lifting up someone you care about, prayer invites God’s perfect peace, love, and power into your life.
God wants to hear from you. He wants to hear your questions, your struggles, your joys,
your gratitude. He is always near and always listening. Starting right now, you can open your heart to Him and experience the kind of relationship only prayer can bring.

HOW YOU PRAY
Praying Through Scripture
When you let Scripture shape your prayers, something beautiful happens: your prayer life grows richer, deeper, and limitless.
There are many ways to prayer. Here’s a simple way to let God’s Word guide your time with Him.
STEP 1 - READ A PASSAGE SLOWLY
Choose one verse, a few verses, or even an entire chapter. Read it silently. Then read it out loud. Sometimes hearing it changes how it lands in your heart.
STEP 2 - UNDERLINE OR WRITE DOWN HOW THE SCRIPTURE REVEALS GOD'S CHARACTER
As you read, notice what the passage tells you about God’s character. This is what we praise God or thank God for. Scripture is full of God introducing Himself by His names, His actions, and His promises.
STEP 3 - UNDERLINE OR WRITE DOWN THINGS YOU CAN ASK GOD
TO INTERCEDE
The Bible reveals God’s heart and
His will.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” — 1 John 5:14
The more you pray Scripture, the more you’ll notice your prayers becoming bold, focused, and full of life as they’re rooted in God’s own words.
